To develop, plan, and implement relevant AAAS programming and org sponsored events + promote member events

Programming/Affairs:

-Gospel choir

AAAS events needed:

-Black History Month

-Juneteenth parade

-Annual Fundraising Gala

Member events on calendar already:

-Thankful gathering

-Annual Homecoming Fest

-The Cookout

Provide service and or contributions to identified and pre- approved needy organizations within Senegal. Also to assist AAAS members by keeping in contact with members & checking on their well being.

Develop, implement, and administer fund-raising activities and events plus one major annual fund-raising event (Annual Gala)

Publicize each AAAS event, seminar and/or celebration locally and throughout the diaspora. Generate media activity and social media activity for regular and specially called meetings. 

Maintain the WhatsApp AAAS platform for members only which is an information bulletin that provides local and international news and commentary relevant to the diaspora community. Also maintain the AAAS website.

Recruit new members and maintain up to date membership and mailing lists. Develop & distribute membership packages and cards for new members.

Membership committee makes recommendtions to Executive Board regarding membrship dues and also receive suggestions and concerns of members.

Encourage our younger members to participate, use their talents, be innovative, and create a path for other diaspora youth who may be visiting or considering repatriating.

Create and maintain a budget, financial documents and statements with accountant

Also known as Terranga Committee! 

Meet & Greet and organize food and drink for all meetings and events. Develop "How to" and "Welcome" packages for newly arriving diasporas.  

To educate AA's of Senegalese cultural norms & vice versa. To embrace Pan Africanist values of unity, to strengthen interactions that mutually benefits all of African descent, to encourage respect for the basic human and civil rights of all Africans.

Encourage and assist in creating opportunities for investment, entrepreneurship, and jobs.
